Each pulse of the laser focuses a highly concentrated light beam at the root of the hair follicle. The follicles are destroyed without damaging the surrounding skin.

Is this procedure painful? Is there any downtime?

Unique in its design, the CoolGlide® hand piece soothes and cools the skin while localized pulses of light are delivered to the skin. The innovative cooling design allows for a more comfortable treatment. Some patients do report slight discomfort during the procedure.

There are usually little to no side effects afterwards. Normally, no downtime is expected and you can go about your usual daily activities directly following the procedure.

How long does each treatment take?

Each pulse of the laser takes less than a second. Smaller areas such as the neck may only take a few minutes while a larger area, like the back, would take longer.
