Laser Vein Therapy

Xeo® Cutera laser vein therapy treats a range of vessels safely and effectively. It can treat the smallest spider veins, large blue reticular veins, telangectasias, port wine stains, and hemangiomas. A careful evaluation of your condition by a physician will determine the best course of treatment.

How does laser vein therapy work?

The Cutera CoolGlide® laser delivers pulses of light targeted at the blood vessels you want to get rid of. The heated blood vessel is destroyed and re-absorbed by the body. This process directs blood to other vessels below the surface of the skin, which we cannot see.

Am I a candidate for laser vein therapy? What areas can be treated?

The unique laser design and long wavelength allow for patients of all skin types to experience outstanding results. Patient with dark, light, or tanned skin are all candidates for treatment. Furthermore, Xeo Cutera laser vein therapy is safe enough for treatment of veins on any area of the body.

When will I see results?

Typically, multiple treatments are required. Some vessels only require one or two treatments, while others require more. Many patients find that their treated vessels show improvement within two to six weeks of treatment, while others won’t notice a difference for a few months. The size as well as the color of the treated vessel will impact your individual results.

What are the side effects?

Many patients report minimal to no side effects. The most common side effects that can occur are slight redness in the treated area with symptoms typically lasting less than 24 hours.

Is there downtime post-treatment?

There is no downtime following your treatment. You will be able to resume most of your usual daily activities immediately. The use of sunscreen is recommended on treated areas exposed to the sun.
